Hi there! My name is Tabitha Giaquinto, my pronouns are she/her/hers, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Florida. I also provide out of state telehealth services to those residing in Delaware. I know finding a good match in a therapist can be difficult, especially if the idea of being vulnerable with someone brings a sense of discomfort. In my work with clients, I strive to provide unconditional positive support, a safe and inclusive environment for all, and individualized care for everyone I work with. I understand what it’s like to be on the couch of a therapist’s office and not know where to start, which gifts me the ability to understand and empathize with the uncertainty. 

 

I have specialized experience in working with anxiety, depression, trauma, and LGBTQIA+. I am also a Board-Certified Transgender Care Therapist, EMDR trained through EMDRIA, and a Certified Telehealth Practitioner. The therapeutic relationship is one of the strongest indicators of success, which is why I believe it is imperative to establish a strong therapeutic rapport that supports growth and empowerment for each person. I believe it is important to honor others as individuals, and to feel understood at the core, and not only at the surface level. This mindset, along with the use of a variety of evidenced based therapy modalities, allows me the ability to help my clients make long lasting changes rather than temporary changes.

 

In my off time, I’m probably hanging out with my two dogs, Archie and Tetris, playing video games (The Sims, Kingdom Hearts, and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla are some of my favorites), spending time with my friends and family, and supporting the local music scene. I find joy in creativity, play, and honoring my authentic self. 

 

I believe, wholeheartedly, that owning your story and narrative allows you the opportunity to write a beautiful ending that is unique to you. I look forward to helping support you in your journey and being part of your healing process.

 

Education

I obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Florida Atlantic University in 2014 and graduated with a Master’s in Social Work from Florida Atlantic University in 2018. Since I was young, I have always had a passion and dedication to helping others realize their potential in times of adversity, and this continues to show in my work with clients today.
