Ariana Brown
Hi!
My name is Ariana Brown, my pronouns are she/they, and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and a National Certified Counselor. When I work with clients, I believe you are the expert of yourself. I want our sessions to be a place where everyone feels comfortable and confident being genuine and honest.
Being authentic is important to me, and I focus on being as genuine as possible while still being professional in sessions. Therapy does not always have to be somber and clinical; I believe in meeting people where they are and connecting with them in a way that speaks to them. If there is something you enjoy, I am willing to learn about it and incorporate it into sessions!
I utilize a few different theories in my work with clients, including Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral, Solution-Focused, and Internal Family Systems. Over the years I have worked with many different types of people and while the process can be difficult at times, it is rewarding to be able to support someone in improving their well-being and confidence. I specialize in working with LGBTQIA+ clients, anxiety disorders, depression, boundary setting, interpersonal relationship concerns, and stress management. Nothing is too weird or odd to discuss in session!
In my free time, I enjoy reading, spending time with my friends, playing with my pets, and trying new foods. Since childhood, I always knew I wanted to have a job in which I could help people. Psychology and human behavior have always intrigued me, and I love that I can learn more about the world and human behavior while also helping people. Everyone is their own person, and it is an honor to be able to hold space for someone as they move towards their goals and improve their well-being.
