Candyce Bell

Hey!

My name is Candyce Jupiter, my pronouns are she/her/hers, and I am a am an Army Veteran and a licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the State of Illinois, a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Missouri. Pursuing counseling can be intimidating, especially if this is untraveled territory for someone within life. As a counselor, my goal for every client's experience includes providing a safe, comfortable space that promotes a supportive atmosphere and customized care to the individual. I will be an accompanying force in my client's journey to ensure their experience is positive and enriching.

I have specialized experience in working with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, grief & loss, military/veteran issues, PTSD and trauma related issues, LGBTQIA+, life transitions, career challenges, and substance use. I am a National Certified Counselor through NBCC. When it comes to my counseling style, I would identify that as very welcoming and inviting. I believe in honoring the values of respect, sensitivity, compassion, empathy and embracing a holistic point of view to promote mental wellness. It takes courage to make the steps towards a more fulfilling and happier life and embrace change. If you are ready to take that leap into a healthier mind, body, and spirit, I am here to support and empower you.

In my free time, I love to sing, Crossfit, powerlifting, run, anything considered nerdy, and dabble in my metaphysical interests of Tarot, Oracle, Crystals, and other healing modalities. I'm a huge health nut, which is another passion of mine. Family is an important aspect to my life where I love to spend time with my partner, son, 4 fur babies (2 dogs and 2 cats) and friends I hold near and dear to me. I love adventure and trying new things.

I believe that authenticity of self is an important factor within a person's life story. It would be my pleasure to be a part of your beautiful journey. If you are ready to take that leap into a healthier mind, body, and spirit, I am here to support and empower you.

Education

I obtained a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of St. Francis in 2011 and graduated with a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Roosevelt University in 2014. I am currently pursuing a Ph.D in Counselor Education and Supervision from Walden University. My love of helping others in any capacity possible and academia has been a strong passion of mine since I was young. It has been a fulling experience helping those rise to their optimal potential and a driving force to continue making a positive impact in the community.
