I strive to create a safe and supportive environment for all my clients by facilitating a space where you are open to be yourself and express your true emotions with zero judgment and unconditional empathy.  Therapy will look different for every single person, which is why I believe in establishing a collaborative therapeutic relationship where we work together to create goals and work towards seeing change for yourself.  My goal in every session is to make you feel heard and supported, while also challenging you to push yourself towards growth and have you leaving the room feeling a little better than when you came in.

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). I graduated with my Bachelor of Science from High Point University and my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from UNC Pembroke.  I have experience working with a variety of clients of all ages, backgrounds, and different presenting problems. I have worked with issues of anxiety, autism, ADHD, depression, bipolar disorder, borderline PD, trauma and PTSD.

In a typical session, I use a blend of different interventions from CBT, person centered, narrative therapy, and Gestalt therapy to work with my clients in setting their goals and working towards change.  Additionally, I specialize in a trauma informed approach, the RTM protocol, which targets PTSD and similar symptoms - with resolution from symptoms seen in at least three sessions.  With children and adolescents, I am certified in play therapy, where the focus of sessions with children is to create autonomy and learn about emotions through client led play interactions.
