Therapy for Children, Adolescents, & Families | Strengths-Based, Compassionate Care
Hi there, I’m Mae! I’m so glad you’re here. My passion and calling is to work with children, youth, and their parents, providing a warm, authentic, and safe space for growth and healing. I strongly believe that every person deserves to feel safe, understood, and free to be their most wonderful, authentic self. I am continually inspired by the incredible children, youth, and parents I have been honored to work alongside!
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience working with children, youth, and families in a variety of settings including DCFS and foster care, home-based therapy, and school-based therapy. My previous experience has informed my current work with both children and parents who have experienced complex trauma as a system, as well as with concerns like anxiety and depression, self-harming, and peer, family, or relationship issues.
I believe therapy works best when you feel truly seen, heard, and respected. My approach is grounded in empathy, unconditional positive regard, and collaboration, allowing for an individualized approach tailored to be a best fit for you. I draw from mindfulness, art and play based expressive therapies, as well as cognitive behavioral therapy to explore the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. In our work, we will build on your existing strengths to empower you in making the changes that you feel are needed, and that you feel ready for. I commit to you that we will go at your pace.
Whatever has brought you here today, please know that you are not alone! Together, we can explore the past in the warmth of a non-judgmental, supportive space. We’ll work to understand how the past connects to the present, and use that knowledge to empower your goals for wellness. You deserve to feel joyful, grounded, and fully present in your daily life, and we can get there one small step at a time.
Whenever you’re ready, I’m here to listen and support you every step of the way. Come on in and let’s grow together!
