I'm Aurora Pavía-Pino, a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Practicum Student under the supervision of Jeni Mose. I was born and raised on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico and am bilingual in Spanish. I am passionate about helping individuals as they navigate life's challenges; including anxiety, mood-related struggles, self-esteem, life transitions, or simply feeling “stuck” in life.
What drives me most is getting to the root cause of what brings you to therapy. While I focus on managing healthy coping skills at the start, I also help guide individuals understand the “why” behind their concerns; uncovering the deeper patterns, experiences, and beliefs that shape how we move throughout the world. I'm drawn to Solution-Focused approaches because I believe strongly in empowering people to identify their own strengths and build a clear path forward. I'm also driven by Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Internal Family Systems as part of my ongoing training.
When I'm not in the therapy room, you'll likely find me spending time with my family, including 2 kids, a dog, and my husband, lifting weights, catching up with friends, or looking for different ways to relax. Nice quiet evenings allow me to decompress, although these can be infrequent at times. I also love travel and nature, but the beach will always feel like home.
